Ellis Luke Downs, 3 days, left this world after a brief stay, Friday, January, 5, 2018 at the University of MS Medical Center in Jackson. Funeral Services are 11 A.M. Monday, January 8, 2018 at the Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Carroll County with interment in the church cemetery. Rev. Duane Jensen and Rev. Randy Clayton will officiate. He is preceded in death by his maternal great grandfather, Mr. L. C. Ellis. Ellis Luke is survived by his parents; Kendall and Rachel Ellis Downs of Carrollton, Maternal Grandparents; Mike and Wendy Ellis of Greenwood, Paternal Grandparents; Kenny and Betty Downs of Carrollton, Maternal great grandparents; Hazel and Clarence Swindoll of Carrollton, Bea Ellis of Greenwood, paternal great grandparents Bob and Rose Ann Downs of Carrollton and Budd and Mary Shackael of Winona, an Uncle; Logan Ellis of Greenwood and an Aunt; Melissa Downs of Carrollton and a host of great aunts and uncles. Pallbearers will be Ryan Hopkins and Eric Hopkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Phil Costilow, Joel Williams, Kyle Adams, Frank Truitt, Patrick Montgomery, Scott Montgomery, Jimmy Lord, Chris Branson, Bobby Barnett and Gaines Bankston.
