David Eugene Adams, 55, of Atoka, Tenn., died Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at his residence.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 14 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Carroll County, with visitation at 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood. Rev. Roy Bush will officiate.
He was born July 15, 1964 to Meredith Burchett Adams and Georgia Frances Whatley Adams. He served in the United States Army and was a disabled veteran from the Iraq War.
He is survived by his father, Meredith Adams of Halifax, NC; step-mother, Meltha Adams of Halifax, NC; former wife, Shirley Adams of Atoka, Tenn.; brother, Ronald Hale of Halifax, NC; sister, Ramona Soloman and husband Doug of Durham, NC; cousins, Michael Whatley and wife Christi of Hot Springs, Ark., and Pauline Perkins of Sidon; friend, Steve Flanagan of Coila; step-children, Shelby Goss, Stone Goss, and Jade Rogers; and numerous cousins and relatives.
Military rites will be conducted by members of the Keesler-Hamrick-Gillespie American Legion Post 29 and will serve as pallbearers.
