Services for Carolyn Montague Tumminello were held Friday, April 27, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Wilson and Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood.
Mrs. Tumminello, 83, died on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at Golden Age Nursing Home.
She was born on August 13, 1934 in Greenwood to the late L.N. and Myra Gober Montague, Sr. and resided in Greenwood most of her life. Mrs. Tumminello was a registered nurse at Greenwood Leflore Hospital, in private practice, and retired from Mississippi Department of Health. She was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Santo Tumminello, and brother, L.N. Montague, Jr.
She is survived by her three daughters, Diane (Parker) Robinson of Hernando, Mary (Bobby) Moore of Teoc, and Debra (Doug) Williams of Greenwood; five grandchildren, Leigh (Todd) Bossier, Eric (Tara) Haddon, Dustin (Tori) Haddon, Hunter (Caroline) Upchurch, and Callie (Adam) Shaffer; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday April 27, 2018, from 11:30 a.m. to 1p.m. at Wilson and Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood. Rev. Keith Ramage officiated the services. Pallbearers were Eric Haddon, Dustin Haddon, Hunter Upchurch, Adam Shaffer, Todd Bossier, and Doug Williams. Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Moore and Parker Robinson. A private family interment followed in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
The family extends a special thank you to Dr. Kenneth Hines, Jeanette Henson, the staff of Golden Age Nursing Home, and the Staff of Grace Hospice for their loving care.
