Carolyn Mangialardi Campbell, 80, died on Thursday, July 2, 2020, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 6, at 9 a.m. until service began at 11 a.m. at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in Carroll County. Rev. Lanny Haley officiated the services.
Mrs. Campbell was born on August 11, 1939, in Mississippi, to the late Reno and Mafalda Fratesi Mangialardi. She was a graduate of Leland High School and Mississippi Delta Community College in Moorhead. Carolyn was a retired nurse and worked at Greenwood Leflore Hospital, Sta-Home Health and retired from the MS State Department of Health. She was a resident of Winona the past nine years and a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Carroll County. Her hobbies were sewing, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William (Billy) Marshall Campbell, and a sister, Eldia Pridemore.
She is survived by her son, Bill (Shari) Campbell of Houston, Texas; daughter, Julie Campbell (Jamey) Mims of Winona; ten grandchildren, James Mims, Justin Mims, Jimmy Mims, Joey Mims, Jonah Mims, Jada Mims, Amelia Campbell, Emma Campbell, Clara Campbell, and William Campbell; four great-grandchildren, Aubrey Mims, Demi Mims, James Sawyer Mims, and Melaina Mims, and three sisters, Rosalie Womack of Leland, Barbara Pettis of Greenville, and Nancy Vespes of Mandeville, La.
Pallbearers will be James Mims, Justin Mims, Jimmy Mims, Joey Mims, Jonah Mims, and Jamey Mims. Honorary Pallbearers will be William Campbell, III, James Sawyer Mims, and Mitchell Womack. Burial will follow in Moore’s Memorial Cemetery.
