Services for Billy Dewayne Mims were held Sunday, July 1, 2018, 2 p.m. graveside at Odd Fellows Cemetery East in Greenwood.
Mr. Mims, 40, died on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at his residence in Greenwood.
He was born on June 27, 1977, in Greenwood to Shelby Henson and Jeanette Mims. Billy attended Greenwood High School, was an auto mechanic, and of the Baptist faith. He is preceded in death by his father, Shelby Henson, and brother, John Nathan Henson.
He is survived by his wife, Cori Baker Mims of Greenwood; daughter, Jada Mims of Greenwood; sister, Mistie Henson (Terry Haley) of Greenwood; mother, Jeanette Mims Henson of Carrollton; three nephews, Joe Gentry Jr., Joshua Gentry, and Jaylon Henson; two nieces, Rayne Steed and Lydia Steed; and a special friend, Jimmy Rochelle and a sister-in-law Mindy Baker(John Steed).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 01, 2018 11:00 AM to 02:00 PM at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood. Rev Perry Irvin will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Joshua Gentry, Chris Knoll, Jamie Winters, Clayton Fisk, Charles Duke, Patrick Middleton, Little David Mims, and Little Walter Harris. Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Bennett and William (Bill) Armstrong. Burial will be in Odd Fellows East Cemetery.
