Mrs. Beatrice Fox Tompkins, 86, of Winona died at her home on Monday, April 1, 2019.
Visitation was from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 2 at Oliver Funeral Home; and from 2 p.m. until service time at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, at New Hope United Methodist Church in Winona, with burial following in the Winona Garden of Memory. Rev. Rusty Keen and Rev. Sam Dodd officiated the services.
Pallbearers were Ron Wood, Ray Bamberg, Mac Burrell, Brad Johnson, Bill Vail, and Larry Bamberg. Honorary pallbearers were Bob Warren, Norbert Morgan, and Dan Morgan.
Mrs. Tompkins was born to William Harvey and Lilla Ruth Chandler Fox on June 1, 1932. She was a retired office manager for Mississippi Power and Light Company and a member of New Hope United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
Mrs. Tompkins is survived by her husband, Bodean Tompkins of Winona; two daughters, Nina Ruth Welch (Dennis) of Grenada and Beth Harrison (Shane) of Kilmichael; three grandchildren, Chelsea Welch Bennett (Steven), Chandler Kyle Harrison (Lindsey), and Kellum Elizabeth Harrison (Tyler); and two great-grandchildren, Vaiden Elizabeth Bennett and Merritt Virginia Bennett.
