Mrs. Allie Ruth Harris Blount, 72, of Teoc, passed away Monday, June 15, 2020 at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson. She was born December 16, 1947 in Pine Bluff, Ark. to Charlie and Allie Robinson Harris. Allie was a devoted homemaker and had worked for many years as a private caregiver.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 18 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Carroll County. Family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.
Survivors include two daughters, Esteal Blount and Linda Blount Weeks(Jerry) of Teoc; two sisters, Martha Woods of Pearl River, La. and Elizabeth Chamberlain of Woodstock, VT; one brother, Teddy Harris of Weatherford, Texas; two granddaughters, Janie Herbert of McCarley and Mary Blount of Teoc; and two great-grandchildren, Annabel and Matthew Herbert.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Harris and Allie Robinson Harris Dendy; her husband, Warren Lee Blount; two sisters, Mary Noble and Frances Glenn; and two brothers, David Harris and Charlie Harris.
