Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Evelyn Johnson King of Winona were at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 15, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in New Hope Cemetery in Winona. Rev. Saxton Odom officiated the services.
Visitation was Monday, from noon until service time, at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mrs. King, 66, died at her home on Thursday, January 11. She was a retired employee of Pennaco Hosiery in Grenada and a member of Winona Church of God. Mrs. King was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond Johnson; father, J. C. Melton; sister, Betty Collins; and brother, Bobby Melton.
Survivors include her husband, Dean King of Holcomb; son, Tommy Johnson of Winona; mother, Christine Melton of Grenada; sisters, Brenda Franklin of Jackson and Martha Harrison of Grenada; brothers, Charles Melton of Holcomb, Jimmy Melton of Grenada, Ronnie Melton of Grenada, Donnie Melton of Milton, Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
