Funeral services for Judson Alan Day of Flowood, formerly of Winona, were held at noon on Monday, Jan. 22, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Bethany Church of God Cemetery near Poplar Creek. Services were officiated by the Rev. Bobby McGuffie. Pallbearers were Stone Branch, Aden Branch, Christian Whitfield, Cage Peterson, Morgan Day, and Brooks Day.
Visitation was Monday, Jan. 22, from 11 a.m. until service time at Oliver Funeral Home.
Alan, a beloved husband, father, son and sibling, passed away at his home in Flowood, Miss. on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024. He was born to Henry Judson Day and Tobie Gertrude Clark on Feb. 16, 1963. Alan drove a truck for over 35 years and developed many cherished friends. He grew up loving fishing, hunting and riding horses. Over the past 20 years, Alan self-taught himself to play a guitar. He developed a strong relationship with our Lord and Savior. Alan absolutely loved to worship and praise the Lord with singing and playing. He is survived by his loving wife, Lynn; mother, Gertrude Day; sons, Joseph (Caitlan) and Joshua (Alexis); siblings, Dorothy Birdsong; Jimmy Day (Patty); granddaughter, Mikayla Day and numerous nieces and nephews. Alan was preceded in death by his father, Judson Day.
