Funeral services for Cozette Bryant Hamilton, of Duck Hill, were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24, at Duck Hill Baptist Church, with burial following in Duck Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Tim Buchanan and the Rev. Marlon Long officiated the service. Pallbearers were Aubrey Hamilton, Austin Hamilton, Daniel Hamilton, Aaron Cockroft, Ty Long, and Jacob Bennett.
Visitation was held on Friday, Feb. 23, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 24, from 10 a.m. until service time at Duck Hill Baptist Church.
Cozette Bryant Hamilton, 84, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 20, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Grenada. She was born in Vardaman to Everett Hill and Bessie Gertrude Ward Bryant on June 24, 1939. She was a member of Duck Hill Baptist Church, where she enjoyed all aspects, such as, the flower committee, WMU, Vacation Bible School and GA's, etc. She loved tending to her flowers, decorating and serving her community. She loved her family and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hamilton is survived by her sons, Perry Hamilton (Lisa) of Duck Hill, Tad Hamilton of Slate Springs, and Stacy Hamilton of Eskridge; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and many other people that she considered her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Wayne Hamilton; sisters, Virginia Mae Edington, Kate Robertson, and Fairy Mayhan; brothers, Kenneth Bryant, Wayne Bryant, Donald Bryant, and Everett "Buddy" Bryant.
