Funeral services for Patty Embrey Henson, of Kilmichael, were held on Thursday, April 18, at 11 a.m. at Huntsville Church of Christ near Kilmichael, with burial following in the church cemetery. Mr. Nathan Wright and Mr. Darrell Surrette officiated the services. Pallbearers were Myron Braswell, Chris McGlothin, Tommy Palmertree, Wesley Beardain, Jeremy Beardain, and Jeff Tharp.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18, from 9 a.m. until service time at the church.
Patty Embrey Henson, 90, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora. She was born in Tate County to Byron Eugene and Sarah Baxter Puryear Embrey on December 24, 1933. She was a retired homemaker and registered nurse at the former Kilmichael Hospital. She loved and adored her family and was a faithful member of Huntsville Church of Christ.
She is survived by two sons, Dr. Kenneth D. Henson (Mitzie) of Sarasota, Fla., and Wade E. Henson (Pam) of Kilmichael; three grandchildren, Taite Henson Pearson, Payton Henson, and Emma Henson; great-grandson, L. C. Pearson; brother, Robert Barry Embrey of Tate County; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. L. C. "Jim" Henson.
