Graveside services for Mr. Jerry D. Bond will be held at Milligan Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors on Thursday, Dec. 28, at 1 p.m. The Rev. Gerald Hodges will officiate the service.
Mr. Jerry D. Bond of Hernando, formerly of Stewart, passed away Friday, Dec. 22, 2023, at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Oxford at the age of 75. He was born to Pleas and Annie Jefcoat Bond on Nov. 24, 1948. He was a retired Trackman for the Illinois Central Railroad.
Mr. Bond is survived by his son, Cliff Bond (Martha) of Prescott AZ; daughter, Stacey Bond Hodges (Stephen) of Hernando; and sisters, Brenda Howell of Kilmichael and Judy Braatz of Minnesota. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Tierce Bond; one grandchild, Chance Hodges and his sister, Carol Ann Bond Brents.
