In recognition of the Semiquincentennial of America’s Independence on July 4, 2026, the Thomas Rodney Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution continues its yearlong celebration to honor our patriot ancestors. During the weeks and months leading to America’s 250th Birthday, chapter members are spotlighting the service of our Revolutionary War Ancestors. This week, we honor the service of John Fullilove, Revolutionary Ancestor of chapter member, Lydia Cochran Graves Chassaniol.
John Fullilove was a resident of Granville County, Hillsborough District, North Carolina, during the Revolutionary War. John’s patriotic service included furnishing supplies for the North Carolina militia, assisting in the establishment of American independence.

John was born circa 1747 in North Carolina. He married Henrietta Tatum on April 5, 1779. She was born in 1749 in Johnston, North Carolina, and died after 1793. John died April 14, 1801, in Oglethorpe County, Georgia.
