A storage building at a Winona home was completely lost by fire Tuesday afternoon.
According to Lt. Gwain Jefcoat with the Winona Fire Department, firefighters were dispatched at 5:27 p.m. Monday night to reports of a fire located on the property of 1 Jacks Road near Highway 82.
Jefcoat said upon arrival, a wood and metal outbuilding was fully involved in fire.
“There were at least two separate explosions due to air tanks inside,” Jefcoat said.
Seven firefighters worked for two hours to extinguish the blaze. The building and contents were a complete loss, and no one was injured in the fire.
Cause of the fire is not yet known.
Also responding to Tuesday’s fire was the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department, the Winona Police Department, Montgomery County Emergency Management Director Allan Pratt, and MedStat EMS.
