WINONA – A home on Lodi Road was completely lost to fire Saturday evening.
According to Winona Fire Chief Brad Mooneyham, firefighters were dispatched to 1424 Lodi Road after a neighbor reported the fire at 5:21 p.m. He said the double-wide mobile home was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived at the scene.
“It was a complete loss,” Mooneyham said.
The cause of the fire is unknown, but Mooneyham said thunderstorms on Saturday night produced a lot of lightning. No one was home when the fire started.
Mooneyham said two trucks responded to the call, and firefighters were on the scene nearly three hours extinguishing the blaze.
