A Stewart man who was wanted in Clay County for stealing a farm vehicle turned himself in to authorities last week.
Chief Deputy Jeffrey Mann of the Webster County Sheriff's Department said Blake Corder turned himself in there about 6 a.m. Jan. 4. Deputies transported him that morning to the sheriff’s office in Clay County and he was booked into jail there.
Corder, 25, of Stewart is charged with grand larceny-more than $500. He was being held on a $5,000 bond.
He was wanted in connection with the theft of a truck full of tools at Prestage Farms in Pheba. Authorities had said he may have been in the Montgomery, Webster or Montgomery County area.
Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott said the crime occurred in late September and that the truck was later recovered in Montgomery County. Jake Huffman, 28, of Mantee has also been charged in connection with the theft, according to news reports.
