WINONA -- Plans are underway for the second annual Winona Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat on Halloween night in downtown Winona. The event is being presented by Winona Main Street.
Organizer Calbrina Woods said the Winona Fall Festival will be held on Thursday, October 31, from 5:30 until 8 p.m. on Front Street. Trunk or Treat will be lined up along the south end of Front Street and will begin at 7 p.m.
Woods said like last year, the event will be free to the public, with local businesses and organizations setting up games and booths along the north end of Front Street and giving away prizes and food to guests.
“Everything at this event is free for children 13 and under,” Woods said. “Also, make sure all costumes are kid-friendly.”
Woods said in addition to various booths, there will be bounce houses for the kids, free sno cones, free hot dogs, free cotton candy, free hot chocolate, face painting, and balloons available at the event.
Woods encourages churches, clubs, and other organizations to set up booths as well as local businesses, and she encourages local citizens to open a trunk and give away candy to the trunk-or-treaters.
