WINONA – An arrest was made in a burglary at the local distribution center.
John Chadwick Baskin, 46, of Winona was arrested and charged with two counts of commercial burglary and one count of malicious mischief in connection with the October 2 burglary of the Frito Lay distribution center.
According to Captain Dan Herod, chief investigator of the Winona Police Department, merchandise such as snack cakes was stolen in the burglary, however, the burglar did damage to the building’s surveillance camera system in the building during the course of the burglary.
“Our investigation led to the arrest of John Chadwick Baskin,” Herod said. “We filed charges against him and had an arrest warrant for him. He was arrested on October 17.”
Herod said Baskin is set to appear before Judge Alan D. Lancaster in Winona City Court today for a preliminary hearing. Bond was set at $6,000.
