Sunday will be the Fourth of July Community Worship Service held at the Tabernacle near Big Sand Creek in North Carrollton. Rev. Keith Ramage pastor of North Carrollton Baptist Church will deliver the message.
Rev. Kenneth Talley, the minister of music at North Carrollton Baptist Church will lead the music.
Rev. Ramage said, “Everyone is invited to attend, there will be a color guard, pledges to the flags, and patriotic singing lead by Kenneth Talley.”
Third Arrow Chapter of The DAR will be giving out pins at the service.
The Carroll County Tabernacle was established in 1922 when T.N. Bloodworth donated nearly two acres of land to organize a Methodist revival meeting place.
In 1929 funds were raised to erect a meeting place that could seat 1,000 attendees. The open-air wood structure with stage and pews was the result.
The annual Fourth of July Community Worship Service is one of the most popular events held at the Tabernacle as many throughout Carroll County attend this time of fellowship.
Ramage said, “The service should last about one hour. Make plans to attend this community worship service.”
