Heavy winds and rain toppled trees around the City of Winona Tuesday evening just after 8 p.m.
According to Montgomery County Emergency Management Director Allen Pratt, trees were downed on Freeman Street, Highway 407 at Enterprise Road, and on Providence Road.
“High winds were the cause,” Pratt said.
Pratt said there was no structural damage from Tuesday’s storm.
In the Town of Kilmichael, after a transformer blew, those living south of School Road on Vaiden Kilmichael Road were without power for a “couple of hours.”
According to news reports from around the state, strong storms left damage in many Mississippi counties.
