Montavis Jenkins had the lone top-place finish for the J.Z. George track team on March 23 at the West Bolivar Invitational held at Mississippi Valley State University.
Jenkins won the discus throw with a toss of 120 feet, 6 1/2 inches.
J.Z. George was competing with teams from various classifications. They included Clarksdale, Gentry, Holmes County Central, Leflore County, West Bolivar, Coahoma AHS, Shaw and Leland.
J.Z. George will compete in a meet Thursday at Velma Jackson. On April 5, the Lady Jags and Jaguars go to Kosciusko.
