New storm shelters available throughout Montgomery County

Montgomery County now has new storm shelter locations throughout the region for residents' safety. The shelters will be open today (Friday) and Saturday. The facilities include:

• Montgomery County Coliseum (2 shelters)

• Justice Court Complex (2 shelters)

Additionally, new storm shelters are available at these volunteer fire departments:

• Duck Hill

• Kilmichael

• Lodi-Minerva

• Poplar Creek

• Stewart

Each shelter has capacity for approximately 25 people. When using shelters at fire departments, please be mindful of where you park and do not block garage doors or driveways, as emergency vehicles must maintain clear access at all times.
