The Nation's Weather for Friday, October 28, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Much-needed rain will fall in eastern Texas tomorrow;
however, the rain will be locally heavy and could result in
flash flooding. In addition to flooding downpours,
thunderstorms in southeastern Texas can bring hail, damaging
wind gusts and even an isolated tornado. Most of the East
will be dry. However, showers from a storm centered offshore
will cause a few afternoon showers to dampen coastal South
Carolina and southeastern North Carolina. A stalled front
can also cause a spotty shower across the central Florida
Peninsula. In the Northwest, precipitation in Washington
will likely taper off in the afternoon. Rain can fall for
much of the day in northwestern Oregon. A large area from
the northern Plains to the interior Northeast can expect a
dry and seasonable day.
