NATIONAL SUMMARY
Two areas of the country will be at risk for severe
thunderstorms today. The western zone, stretching across the
High Plains, will allow for severe weather from Montana and
eastern Colorado to Central Nebraska and South Dakota.
Through tonight, thunderstorms could produce damaging winds,
hail and even a few tornadoes. Meanwhile, another zone of
severe weather could also fire from southern Iowa to
northern Mississippi. The potential risks with these severe
thunderstorms are damaging winds, hail and a tornado or two.
Elsewhere, thunderstorms are also expected to impact Florida
and the mid-Atlantic coast, while showers target New
England. Monsoonal thunderstorms will rumble in the
Southwest, while extreme heat persists in the South Central
states and the Southeast.
