NATIONAL SUMMARY
With cold air remaining firmly in place, freezing rain will
continue to bring ice storm conditions tomorrow, from
northern and central Texas to Tennessee. Very hazardous
conditions including icy roads and localized power outages
can be expected. Along the southern edge of the freezing
rain, including the Austin and San Antonio areas, ice may
change to plain rain during the warmer afternoon hours.
Farther southeast, steady plain rain is expected from East
Texas to the Carolinas. Meanwhile, temperatures will
continue to trend upward in the northern Rockies and
northern Plains, with high temperatures at least a few
degrees higher than the prior day in those areas.
