This is the last column before Christmas and over the last few weeks we have talked about different things that are special about Christmas and this column will be no different. One of my favorite memories and things that I count myself greatly blessed to have, is a Grandmother who played the piano and took every opportunity to play and sing with me. During this time of year, she, of course, played all the Christmas songs and taught my sisters and I little songs to sing and to perform at church or just in her living room in front of my parents. Now all those songs I remember, but there is one that she taught us, that taught us the meaning of Christmas, and it's a song that I never heard anybody else sing or perform. The song spelled out Christmas in a certain way to tell the Christmas story and I’d like to share a piece of the song with you this week.
C is for the Christ child born upon this day. H for herald angels in the nights. R means our Redeemer. I means Israel. S is for the star that shone so bright. T is for three wisemen. M is for the manger where He lay. A is for all He stands for. S means shepherds came. That’s the reason why there is a Christmas Day. (Eddy Arnold)
I hope this Christmas is everything that you dream, but above all I hope you don’t forget the true meaning of Christmas and maybe this little song will serve as a wonderful reminder. Remember Ms. Faulk loves you, but Jesus loves you more.
