Last week a friend of mine introduced herself to a new person I am working with. She said, “Hey my name is blank and me and Ms. Faulk are besties.”
It brings a smile to my face when someone who I consider an important part of my life introduces herself, not just as my friend, but as my best friend. Now that got me thinking about what names we are called every day. More than likely different people in your life call you different names, I know the people in my life do.
I got to thinking if God was to introduce us to people what would He introduce us as? The bible says that He calls me friend, and He also calls me child (son or daughter). That is pretty cool when you think about it, that the creator of the universe would call you and I friend or child.
When I think about that, it makes me want to live and act even better because I want God and the people around me to call me friend or child. So, this week take comfort in how the God of the universe sees you and remember Ms. Faulk loves you, but Jesus loves you more.
