Merry Christmas!!! I hope you guys are as excited for Christmas and all that it brings as I am. One of my favorite parts about this time of year is all the Christmas lights. Lights are on houses, on light poles, in the park, and in the front yard. Every light display is different in its own way, but all of them have one thing in common, and that is they all shine bright.
This year my niece, Magnolia, is really getting into it and loves going into the park or driving around town and the look on her face is complete awe over the lights and how they shine. Because she is so enamored by them, she wants to get up close and see what they are and what they are all about. As I was watching her the other day, I thought about how we should be as Christians.
Each of us should shine our lights so bright that people who are amazed by how we shine want to see what we are all about, and when they get up close to check us out, they will see why we shine and what we are all about, which is JESUS.
Matthew 5:16 says, “Let your light shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
The bible tells us to shine bright so that people will see Jesus through us. So, as we get started in this season when you're at your school parties, your grandparents’ house, the parades, and everything else you may go to, remember to shine as bright as those Christmas Lights so that others may see Jesus. Remember Ms. Faulk loves you, but Jesus loves you more.
