Okay everybody, let me ask you a question. Who likes to wait? Who likes to follow instructions when you are making something? You don’t? Well, I really don’t either.
I was reminded though that good things really do come to those who wait, follow the instruction, and are patient. This week my best friend brought me some homemade cinnamon rolls. Everything was homemade from the bread to the icing, and I was EXCITED!!!!
When she brought it to me, she told me you can’t eat it right now. You have to wait an hour for the bread to rise and then cook it, or you can put them in the fridge and take them out tomorrow, but you still will have to wait to put them in the oven for an hour for the dough to rise.
Now I wasn’t really excited about that because I wanted cinnamon rolls right now, but she said if I do it too early then I will mess them up and they will not be good. So, although I hated it, I did wait and cooked it when she said, and they came out wonderfully!!!! I was really glad I waited for the good thing, and it reminded me that although waiting is hard and following specific instructions can be difficult the reward is wonderful and sometimes delicious.
