This past weekend Montgomery and Carroll County churches participated in DNOW. A weekend full of worship, services, bible study, good times, and very little sleep. As an adult and teacher in this community I love watching our teens grow, recharge, and get prepared to change the world.
The thing that I thought of this year as I was listening to the youth in my church share what DNOW weekend meant to them was that change and revival happens one person at a time. You make small changes in your life for Jesus or invite others to church or youth group because of all the Lord has taught you through it can change someone’s life and in turn change the world.
One of my favorite verses comes from 1 Timothy 4:12, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.”
You are here in this town, in your school, in your home for a purpose that has been orchestrated by God so that you can change your environment for His glory and honor. May your prayer for this week and this school year be, let there be change and let it start with me and you will be amazed at all the Lord will do through you. Remember Ms. Faulk loves you, but Jesus loves you more.
