How did you do on your test? Did you study? Did you try your best? Those are questions that we hear a lot during this time of year, the time of year for exams, state tests, ACTs, and other assessments. Now although we don’t like tests, they are necessary in every aspect of our lives. If you think about it, every day is a test in some way or another.
Your parents raise you and try to teach you right from wrong, how to act, and let you know what they expect from you, but then you have to go to school, to work, and hang out with your friends and try to remember to do and live out the things that you were taught.
The Lord does the same thing with us. He teaches us how to live, how to treat others, and how to honor him in his word, and then we have to go out and live those things out and put those lessons into action.
1 Peter 3:15 says “Be ready always to give an answer to anyone who asks you for a reason for your hope.” This verse is reminding us to always have those lessons we have learned ready to tell to somebody when they ask “Why are you different?”
So, this week study for your tests in school, but also study your bible so that you are prepared for all the tests that may come to you this week. Remember Ms. Faulk loves you, but Jesus loves you more.
