Michael Parks, 75, of Union City, Tenn., formerly of Greenwood, died Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Obion County Nursing Home in Union City. Services were held 10 a.m. Monday at North Mississippi Veterans Cemetery in Kilmichael. Visitation was from 8:30 a.m. until 9 a.m. Monday at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home. Bro. Wilton Neal officiated.
Michael was born November 23, 1949, in Fulton, Ky., to Richard Harrison Parks and Lucille Bullington Parks. He served in the United States Marines, where he served two tours in Vietnam. Mike enjoyed fishing many hours at Grenada Lake. He was a talented guitar player and artist. He loved bowling, was an avid reader, and a huge SEC football fan. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his sisters, Sharon Barnes and husband Kenneth of Union City, Tenn., and Faith Herring of Bella Vista, Ark.; brother, Clift Parks and wife Susan of Duck Hill; and several nieces and nephews.

Military rites will be conducted by Keesler-Hamrick-Gillespie American Legion Post 29.
