Mrs. Marion McCuiston Dixon, 78, of Duck Hill, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2025, at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital in Winona. Born March 25, 1947, in Winona to Mungo T. and Lillian Holford McCuiston, Marion spent her life rooted in love for family, faith, and community.
She dedicated over 33 years of service to Heatcraft in Grenada, where her work ethic and kind spirit left a lasting impression on colleagues and friends alike. Known as a gifted conversationalist, Marion had a re-markable ability to make others feel seen, heard, and at ease—a gift that defined so many of her relationships. She was a devoted Baptist whose gentle presence and steady faith were constants to those around her.
A service celebrating her life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 4, 2025, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada, with Dr. Joey Faulk officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m., prior to the service.
Marion is survived by her beloved husband, Stanley Dixon; her son, Tim Laster of Duck Hill; three sisters, Virginia Blakely of St. Louis, MO, Jonnie Timbs (Morris), and Rosemary Lancaster (John), both of Duck Hill; her granddaughter, Liz Blair (Owen); and great-granddaughter, Grace Blair. She also leaves behind a host of cherished nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents, M.T. and “Mama Georgia” McCuiston, and Thomas Henry and Emma Marion Mason Holford.
