I am not a citizen of Winona, but I have lived on the outskirts of Winona since April 1973, 51 years.
During those 51 years, Winona has had one mayor who made things happen for the betterment of Winona, and that was Mayor Sonny Simons.
I feel I should have some input in city elections since do I some shopping in Winona.
I believe Winona should have a full-time mayor.
I don't know if Scott Sledge would be interested in running for mayor of Winona, but after reading his political advertisement he has the qualifications for a good mayor.
If Winona had a Walmart Neighborhood Market like Starkville that would be a plus.
One grocery store is not good for the citizens of Winona.
I encourage Winonians to do a lot of pondering and thinking about their upcoming elections, more of the same is never good.
