Carroll Academy’s softball season came to an end at the Class 3A state tournament on Saturday.
The Lady Rebels went two and out as they fell to defending champion Clinton Christian 13-0 and then lost to North Delta 14-1 in the elimination game.
Carroll finishes the season with an 11-13 record.
Clinton Christian 13, Carroll 0
The Lady Rebels got no-hit as the Lady Warriors took an opening round win in the Class 3A Tournament on Saturday.
Clinton scored four runs in the first and second innings and finished off with two in the third and three in the fourth.
Clinton had 13 hits in the contest.
North Delta 14, Carroll 1
The Lady Rebels had only two hits as they were eliminated from the Class 3A Tournament on Saturday.
After a scoreless first inning, North Delta scored nine runs in the second and five in the third to take the win.
North Delta outhit Carroll 17-2 in the contest. Bella Carter singled and walked, stole three bases and scored Carrol’s only hit. Peyton Perry had Carroll’s other hit. Kaitlyn Chamblee and Meri Brynn Reeves each walked and had a stolen base.
