Winona High School’s boys and girls track teams continued to run through the competition as both teams won their respective divisions at the Region 2-3A meet last Friday at Winona High School.
The Tigers took first place with 181 team points, easily outdistancing Noxubee County, which had 96 points for second place. Amory was third with 95 points, and Humphreys County and Aberdeen tied for fourth with 32 points each. Rosa Fort was sixth with 30 points, and Ruleville was seventh with 26 points. Hatley came in eighth with 18 points, and Amanda Elzy was last with 14 points.
The Lady Tigers racked up 162 points to claim first place. Noxubee was second with 107, and Humphreys was third with 83 points. Elzy was fourth with 54 points, and Amory was fifth with 43 points. Hatley and Ruleville had 16 points each to tie for sixth, and Aberdeen was eighth with seven points.
The top four in each event move on the North 3A meet Saturday at Winona High School.
