WINONA – The Winona Business and Professional Association and the City of Winona will hold a drive-in movie event on April 30, 2021, in the parking lot of the Montgomery County Coliseum.
The movie, “Angels in the Outfield,” will begin at 8 p.m. This event is free to the public, and the community is invited to attend and enjoy the family-friendly wholesome event.
The film will be projected on a large screen, with the sound broadcast through an FM transmitter through the car radio.
According to the IMDb website, the 1994 Disney movie is about a young boy who prays for a chance to have a family if the California Angels baseball team wins the pennant. His prayers are answered when Angels are deployed to lend a little help.
The movie is rated PG, and the website, Common Sense Media, suggests the movie is best for children age 8 and up.
The Winona Church of God youth group, Branded Youth, will provide concessions for the movie. They will grill hamburgers and hotdogs and have nachos and drinks for sale. All proceeds go to support the group’s activities.
Bathroom facilities are available inside the Montgomery County Coliseum.
