The Winona track teams recently participated in the Class 3A North State meet, which the school hosted.
The Tigers advanced several runners to the Class 3A state meet.
• Winona’s T.J. Forrest was third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.52 and finished first in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.40. Forrest was first in the 400-meter dash with a time of 51.07.
• In the 800-meter dash, Robert Cross was second with a time of 2:12.
* In the 1,600-meter run, Winona’s Noah Durham was fifth with a time of 5:30 while Sam Matriasciano was sixth with a time of 5:30 and Aidan Windham was seventh with a time of 5:41.
• In the 3,200-meter run, Windham was fifth with a time of 12:33 while Thomas Rosamond was eighth with a time of 14:49.
• In the 110-meter hurdles, Taylor Williams was seventh with a time of 18.61 while he finished sixth in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 49.41.
• In the 4x100-meter relays, Winona was seventh with a time of 47.46 while they finished third with a time of 1:36.43 in the 4x200-meter relays. Winona finished fifth in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:51.
• In the 4x300-meter relay, Winona finished third with a time of 9:38.
• In the high jump, Winona TyMetrius Young finished tied for first with 5 feet, 8 inches.
• In the long jump, Dadarion Small was first with a jump of 20 feet, 2.50 inches while teammate Robert McMath was third with a jump of 19 feet, 9 inches. Tristian Purnell was eighth with a time of 17 feet, 4 inches.
• In the triple jump, Khristian Williams was fifth with a jump of 36 feet, 10 inches while Taylor Williams was seventh with a jump of 36 feet, 3 inches.
• In the pole vault, Winona swept the first two spots as Isaac Leech was first with a jump of 13 feet while Jordan Leech ws second with a jump of 11 feet. Noah Durham was sixth with a jump of 10 feet.
• In the discus, Winona was fourth with a throw of 110 feet, 2 inches while Tyler Ables was fifth with a throw of 109 feet, 2 inches.
• In the shot put, Ables finished fifth with a throw of 37 feet, 4 inches while Izavion Guess was sixth with a throw of 37 feet, 2 inches.
Girls
• In the 400-meter girls, Winona’s Mikhalah Coker was sixth with a time of 1:14.18.
• In the 1,600-meter run, Anna Beth Walter was eighth with a time of 8:09.
• In the 3,200-meter run, Walter was fifth with a time of 18:33 while Bella Durham was seventh with a time of 20:19.
• In the 100-meter hurdles, Brycelyn Townsend was seventh with a time of 19.03 while Cenya Forrest was eighth with a time of 20.23.
• In the 300-meter hurdles, Townsend was sixth with a time of 55.39 while Tanhya Knight was seventh with a time of 59.03.
• In the 4x100-meter relay, Winona was fifth with a time of 44.08 while they finished fourth in the 4x200 with a time of 1:56.47. In the 4x400-meter relay, Winona was sixth with a time of 5:15 while they finished sixth in the 4x800-meter relay with a time of 15:57.
• In the high jump, Winona was eighth with a jump of 3 feet, 8 inches while Mikhiyah Crawford was eighth in the long jump with a jump of 12 feet, 2.25 inches.
• In the triple jump, Tamari Ford finished seventh with a jump of 27 feet. 7.25 inches.
• In the pole vault, Eden Leech was tied for second with a jump of seven feet while Bella Durham was sixth with a jump of six feet.
• In the discus, Tamira Hamilton was seventh with a jump of 70 feet, 6 inches while Emmy Lou McRae was eighth with a jump of 69 feet, 9 inches.
• In the shot put, Jada Leverette was seventh with a throw of 25 feet.
