A graveside service for Bruce Steven Mitchell of Winona was held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 9, at Winona Garden of Memory Cemetery, where Bruce was laid to rest next to his mother and father. Rev. Jay Anderson officiated the service.
Visitation was Monday, Jan. 8, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Oliver Funeral Home.
Bruce Steven Mitchell, 62, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024, at his home in Winona. He was born Nov. 10, 1961, to James Newton Mitchell, Jr. and Sammie Lane Mitchell McClure. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Winona.
Mr. Mitchell is survived by his niece Stephanie Ricks of Brandon; nephew, Trenton Ricks and his wife Ruth and their children, Donna Hope and Grace of Brunswick, OH; aunts, Ruth Blaylock and her husband Pete, and Joy Ellis of Winona; and a host of cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, James Newton Mitchell, Jr.; mother, Sammie Lane Mitchell McClure; and sister, Patti Mitchell Finley.
