The Lady Tigers and Tigers pulled off the sweep of visiting Bruce High School Friday night in Winona.
The girls won 53-47 to improve to 3-8 overall as Za’Miya Griffin and Mikhiyah Crawford had 11 points each for the Lady Tigers, who raced out to a 21-10 lead after the first period and expanded their advantage to 34-19 by halftime.
Bruce outscored J.Z. George 15-9 in the third and 13-10 in the fourth.
Ja’Najah Turner tacked on five points, and Ta’nhya Knight, Jada Leverette and Brycelyn Townsend had four points each.
The Tigers had three players in double figures en route to a 70-57 win over the Trojans. Winona led 19-13 after the first period, 39-24 at the half and 56-42 after the third period.
Clifford Lee had 18 points, and Tyshuan Clark tacked on 17. Jaiwain Small had 15, and Mykel McGee and Damariya Mister had nine points each.
Winona, which hosted Choctaw County Tuesday night, entertains French Camp Friday and hosts Eupora Saturday with the varsity girls starting at 2 p.m.
