The Lady Rebels dominated the early action, but Marshall Academy outscored the Lady Rebels 21-2 in the final period to pull way and take a 43-34 win.

The Lady Rebels were unable to hold onto an early lead as the Lady Patriots finished strong to take a nine-point win in the first round last week of the Class 4A state tournament.
Carroll had a strong first half as they outscored Marshall 12-4 in the first period and 15-8 in the second period to take a 27-12 lead at the half. Marshall outscored Carroll 10-5 to cut the lead to 32-22 going to the fourth. Marshall then outscored Carroll 21-2 in the fourth to take the win.
Bella Carter led Carroll with 13 points while Anna Laken Taylor had eight points, and Mary Lakyn Boutwell had seven points.
