The Winona Library will be closed Monday July 4 for Independence Day. The library will reopen Tuesday, July 5 at 8 a.m.
I can’t believe it’s the end of June already! Our summer reading program “An Ocean of Possibilities” will be winding down soon. The last day will be Friday, July 8. However, we encourage children to keep reading. The library will still offer activity sheets until school begins in August. The final programs scheduled are coming up. Thursday, June 23 at 2 p.m., we will have an interactive movie with crafts, snacks, singing, blowing bubbles, and more. The craft day I had previously scheduled for June 28 has been moved to Wednesday, June 29 since the library is a polling place, and the runoff election will take place that day. I’m inviting all children to join us June 29 at 2 p.m. for craft day. We have a couple of ocean themed crafts planned for the afternoon. Children can still come in and complete our Treasure Hunt and I Spy cabinet activities until July 8 for special prizes. We will also be drawing names for a few special prizes at the end of the summer reading program. Hope to see you soon!
