On the onset of the Carter administration, I was thirty-three years old, and I remember his Presidency quite well.
I remember everything skyrocketing in price just like it has under the Joe Biden administration. To prove a point, Ronald Regan during one of the Carter and Regan debates pushed a grocery cart out on the stage containing supposedly a hundred dollars’ worth of groceries and there weren’t many groceries in the cart. Carter’s signing of the Torrijos-Carter Treaty gave the Panama Canal back to Panama in 1999. Carter, taking power away from the states, started the Federal Department of Education around 1980 with a $12 billion dollar budget annually and 3,000 employees which has now grown to around 4,400 employees today with an annual budget of $68 billion per year. That is $68 billion taken away from all 50 states Education Departments annually.
There are many more bad faults that could be mentioned here about the Carter administration, but I restrain. It has been a proven fact, Jimmy Carter was the worst President America has ever had, and now President Joe Biden is running a very close second.
“God rest Jimmy Carter’s soul”.
