The Carroll Academy girls basketball team saw their season come to an end last week in the first round of the Class 4A North State Tournament.
The Lady Rebels couldn’t keep pace with North Delta as the Lady Green Wave outscored the Lady Rebels by 13 points in the second half to take a 33-19 win in first-round action.
The game was tight in the first half as Carroll led 7-6 at the end of the first period. But North Delta outscored Carroll 7-5 in the second period and held a slim 13-12 lead at the half.
Scoring was still at a premium in the third period as North Delta only outscored Carroll 5-2 in the third and held an 18-14 lead. But North Delta put the game away in the fourth period as they outscored Carroll 15-5 to take the 14-point win.
Carlie Hoover led Carroll with 11 points while Anna Laken Taylor scored the other eight points.
