It was another tough week for the Carroll Academy softball team.
The Lady Rebels dropped a pair of run-rule losses last week, falling 12-0 to Manchester on Monday and 14-4 to Washington on Friday.
Manchester 12, Carroll 0
The Lady Rebels only had one hit and dropped a shutout decision to the Lady Mavericks on Monday.
Manchester scored three in the first, six in the second, two in the third and one in the fourth.
Carroll had just one hit, a single by Audrey Woods.
Kaylyn Wiltshire took the loss in the circle, giving up nine runs, just two earned on one hit and eight walks. Layla Neese pitched the last 1 2/3 innings, giving tip three runs on third hits and six walks.
Washington 14, Carroll 4
The Lady Rebels struggled at the plate and in the field, dropping another run-rule decision to the Lady Generals on Friday.
Washington scored six in the first, one in the second, three in fourth and two in the fifth and sixth. Carroll scored one in the second, two in the third and one in the fourth.
Carroll had four hits but committed seven errors and issued eight walks. Kaylyn Reeves tripled, scored and had an RBI while Rachel Dugger singled, scored and walked twice. Audrey Woods singled and scored while Kylee Mims and Naveah McCrory also singled and drove in a run.
Kaylyn Wiltshire took the loss in the circle, pitching 4 2/3 innings, giving up 12 runs on seven hits and five walks while striking out five. Layla Reese pitched 1 1/3 innings and gave up two unearned runs on two hits and three walks.
