This past week I along with fellow mayors attended the Mississippi Municipal League’s legislative meeting at North Central Planning and Development office in Winona. This was concerning the upcoming 2025 session with initiatives important to municipalities.

Remembering service and sacrifice of September 11, 2001

This week marks the twenty third anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attack on the United States. I was 27 on Tuesday, September 11, 2001; a few months earlier I had just begun my first term as mayor of North Carrollton and President George W. Bush was in his first term.
