The J.Z. George archery team completed its 2025 season with a seventh-place showing in the AIMS 2A state competition last week at the Mississippi Trade Mart in Jackson.
They had a team score of 3,053 points. Columbia Academy won the division with 3,350 points, and Mize High School was second with 3,234 points. East Union came in third with 3,176 points, and Simpson Academy was fourth with 3,150 points. Enterprise finished in fifth with 3,072 points, and Lamar School was sixth with 3,064 points. Bogue Chitto was eighth with 3,051 points, and Adams County Christian School was ninth with 3,025 points.
J.Z. George’s top shooter was Kelton Sanders, who shot a 272. Jaelyn Foreman was right behind him with a 271, and Wyatt Goss had a 270. Dustin Dickerson shot 267, and Gallexie Little had a 259. Mackenzie Ainsworth and Jaxson Mulvihill both shot 254, and Ava Hollis had a 247. Andrew Bowers shot 246, and Chase Gentry had a 239.
Brayden Counts finished with a 238, and Madison Miley shot 236. Zachary Givens shot 237, and Abbygail Clardy shot 233. Bella Jones had a 228, and Shyera Hemphill shot 226. Allen Wiggins had a 208, and Evan Thomas shot 191. Eli Miley and Emma Coy Boyles both shot 189, and Peyton Hobson shot 183.
