WINONA – A traffic stop led to a Winona man being arrested for felony drug charges last week.
According to Winona Police Captain Dan Herod, chief investigator for the Winona Police Department, Michael Anthony Forrest, 43, of Winona was arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, marijuana.
Herod said Forrest was arrested following a traffic stop on Friday, February 2.
“Officer Bailey Lott was conducting a traffic stop of a 2005 Lincoln for a traffic violation,” Herod said. “The stop led to a search of the vehicle, where approximately three ounces of marijuana was found in a container in the backseat.”
Herod said Winona City Judge Donald Bond set bond at $10,000 and scheduled a preliminary hearing for Tuesday, February 13.
