This upcoming April 18-20 Easter Holiday Weekend will be a big weekend for Montgomery and Carroll Counties as municipalities across both will be hosting their own Easter celebrations.
To kick off the weekend the Town of Carrollton and the Town of Vaiden will take the lead. The Town of Carrollton will host a day long event Friday, April 18. Beginning at 10 a.m. the Easter Bunny will make his appearance on the Courthouse lawn and will be available for pictures. Also at this time, Faithworks, The Smocked Kids, and JJ Gee’s Store will open. At 11 a.m. the Chick-fil-A truck and the Rowlan Boil Crawfish truck will set up to serve the lunch time crowd with the Sweet Shop serving dessert. At 1 p.m. the Pizzazz show–choir from Grenada will perform Grease at the Courthouse, followed by an open mic. At 3 p.m. Egg Hunts will begin for preschool and elementary students, meeting in front of the courthouse. The day will close for the event with a 6 p.m. Good Friday service at Carrollton Baptist Church. All who wish to attend are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to best enjoy the day.
On the same day, the Town of Vaiden will be hosting its 5th annual Easter Egg Hunt from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Vaiden Children’s Park for ages 12 and under. There will be food, music, games and prizes available during the celebration. Children are encouraged to bring their own baskets for the Egg Hunt.
Saturday, April 19, North Carrollton will host its Easter Egg Hunt beginning at 12 p.m. sharp at the intersection of Marshall Road and Main Street.
To cap off the weekend, the Town of Duck Hill will host its Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, April 20 at the Duck Hill School Playground beginning at 3 p.m. and lasting until 6 p.m. For more information on community or church events, be sure to check the respective calendars.
