Nora D. Dunn has won the District 5 School Board seat in Winona Montgomery School District, Nov. 4, special general election, according to unofficial results.
Dunn received 283 votes compared to Chris Branch's 64 votes in the race for School Board Member District 5. A total of 347 votes were cast in the contest.
The totals include votes from Poplar Creek, South Winona, absentee ballots and affidavit ballots cast, according to the Montgomery County officials.
Mississippi State Statute requires waiting five days to allow time for ballots that may be received through the mail. The Election Commissioners will certify the election on Thursday, Nov. 13.
